Military & Veterans Pet Sanctuary

MVP Sanctuary "Sponsors & Supporters"

The Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet "Military & Veterans Pet" (MVP) Sanctuary is being established to ensure the organization is able to provide a caring, loving, and safe environment for deploying military service members who have been unable to locate such an environment for their pet or pets without having to relinquish their pet ownership.

The first MVP Sanctuary will be located in Garland County, Arkansas on a country like setting (approximately 10-15 acres) with an initial capacity to care for a maximum of 40 pets (up to 20 dogs and 20 cats) with room for future expansion as needed. This sanctuary will become the model for future MVP Sanctuaries located in states where our program/service is needed by our military service members and veterans. 

The MVP Sanctuary will allow the Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet organization to:

• Provide a caring, loving, and safe environment where an individual foster home is not available to care for the pet/pets during the military service member's deployment.
   

• Better ensure the pet is waiting for their owner's safe return from the deployment.
   

• Expand our program and service to our Arkansas veteran's who need a temporary home for their pet in emergency situations.

Funding for each MVP Sanctuary will be obtained via:

• Monetary contributions from the general public
   

• In-kind contributions
   

• Nominal donations made by the military pet owner to help defray costs for care of their pet or pets
   

• On-going fundraising events/projects including but not limited to grant proposal submissions

Ongoing operation and maintenance expenses needed will be obtained via general public contributions, major sponsor funding, grants, and fundraising efforts.

The sanctuary in Garland County, Arkansas will be managed under the guidance/direction of the National Board of Officers/Directors with a full time volunteer on-premise Executive Director.  Future MVP Sanctuaries will also be managed/operated under the guidance/direction of an approved Guardian Angels For Soldier's Pet "affiliated" chapter.
